BACK-OF-HOUSE POSITIONS

CATERING PREP COOK

Part time - full time employment. Candidates can expect 3-5 days per week 7:30a-4:00p. Flexible evening hours can be accommodated for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong knowledge of allergens and cross contamination

  • Execute prep for both on and off-site catered events

  • Ability to follow recipes, guidelines, instructions and prep lists with detailed descriptions

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience as a prep cook, preferable in a catering or hotel/banquet environment

  • Up-to-date Safe Food Handler's certification

  • Hardworking and Resourceful

  • Excellent time management skills/ability to multi-task

  • Works well independently

Compensation:

$13-$17/hour plus a percentage of gratuities, dispersed monthly. Bench test will be required after an in-person interview. Hourly wage determined based on past experience, bench test, and references.

CATERING EVENT COOK

Part time - full time employment. Candidates can expect 15+ hours per week during high season. Weeknight & weekend availability is a must.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Executing both on and off-site events. Service styles can range from cocktail, buffet, and plated to family style and more.

  • Packing your event based on a detailed pack list if off-site

  • Washing service ware items and returning them to their storage locations in some cases

  • Unpacking your event at it's close and returning items to appropriate places in our on-site kitchen

Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-take

  • Works well independently

  • Time management skills

  • Strong knowledge of allergens and cross contamination

  • Prior experience executing events on and off site

  • Safe Food Handler's certification a must

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Ability to follow recipes, guidelines and prep lists with detailed descriptions

  • Appreciation for local & seasonal cuisine with a willingness to work in a scratch kitchen

Compensation:

$13-$17/hour plus a percentage of gratuities, dispersed monthly. Bench test will be required after an in-person interview. Hourly wage determined based on past experience, bench test, and references.

DELIVERY DRIVER

Part time employment. Applicants can expect 20+ hours per week during high season. Must be available Monday - Friday 7a-4p, and weekends, some weeknights required. Prior experience is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lifting/loading (50 lb. maximum)

  • Washing and returning service ware to it's storage location, in some cases

  • Delivery of catered orders, both disposable and styled

Qualifications​

  • Food handler's certification of serve safe certification encouraged

  • Time management skills

  • Knowledge of kitchen standards for cleanliness

  • Valid US driver's license with no infractions in the last 12 months

  • Knowledge of food safety and hot holding standards

Compensation:

Hourly wage based on experience and first month's review. A percentage of gratuities, dispersed monthly can be expected.

FRONT-OF-HOUSE POSITIONS

 

EVENT OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

Part time employment. Applicants can expect 20+ hours per week during high season. At least one year of experience in hospitality and/or sales and event experience preferred. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • managing and executing both on and off-site events

  • overseeing service professionals at events

  • corresponding with clients both at events and beforehand

  • design and decor consultation 

  • rental order oversight and execution

  • setting up and breaking down event decor and transporting said decor

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette and e-mail etiquette

  • Highly detail-oriented

  • Ability to be on your feet for 8-12 hours

  • Must be able to lift 50 lb. maximum

  • Upbeat, positive attitude

  • Team player

  • Knowledge of local farms, food & seasons a plus

  • Weeknight and weekend availability

  • Reliable transportation. Event sites can be up to 1 hour outside of Providence

  • General food safety knowledge is appreciated and encouraged

  • Hospitality, sales and/or event experience 1+ years preferred

Compensation: $13-$17/hour + a percentage of gratuities, dispersed monthly. Hourly wage determined based on past experience and 30 day training period.

CATERING SERVICE WAITSTAFF

Contracted employment. Sign up for jobs as they suit your schedule. This is a great part time job or second source of income. Jobs generally fall on nights or weekends.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reliable transportation to and from events (event sites can be up to 1 hour outside of Providence)

  • Friendly and courteous demeanor 

  • Ability to memorize menus before arriving at an event

  • Some lifting, loading, unloading, set-up, and break-down should be expected (40 lb. maximum)

Compensation:

$12/hour plus a percentage of gratuities, dispersed monthly.
