BACK-OF-HOUSE POSITIONS

CATERING EVENT CHEF

We are seeking individuals to join our company as full and part time Event Chefs. The ideal candidate has experience in catering, hotels, large volume kitchen work or banquets. We are looking for individuals that are self driven, motivated. Accepted candidates can expect to work solo or in a team of up to 4-5 other kitchen team members to produce events both on and off-site at various locations throughout the state. Most shifts are Thursday through Sunday, day shifts and night shifts. Some weekdays may be required.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • 2+ years kitchen experience in catering or a similar style

  • Maintain quality and safety standards

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic attitude

  • Strong time management

  • Ability to lead a small team

  • Food Safety Certification

Compensation + Perks:

$18-$22/hour plus a percentage of gratuities (an average of $50-$200 per event). A bench test will be required after an in-person interview. Hourly wage determined based on past experience, bench test, and references. PREP & PANTRY COOK

We are seeking individuals to join our company as prep cooks.  The ideal candidate has experience in catering, hotels, large volume production or banquets.  We are looking for individuals that are self driven, motivated, friendly, self-aware and reliable. Most shifts are Sunday through Friday, 7a/8a - 5p/6p with occasional weekend work required. 

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • 2+ years professional cooking experience, but willing to train the right candidate 

  • Experience with scaled food production

  • Maintain quality and safety standards

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic attitude

  • Food Safety Certification

DISHWASHER/UTILITY

We are seeking individuals to join our company as dishwasher & utility operations team member.  The ideal candidate has experience in catering, hotels, large volume production or banquets.  We are looking for individuals that are self driven, motivated, friendly, self-aware and reliable.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right individuals

  • Maintain quality and safety standards

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong work ethic and enthusiastic attitude

  • Collect & clean used kitchenware from kitchen areas

  • Load and unload dish machines

  • Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately

  • Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, especially during peak hours

  • Remove garbage regularly

  • Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

  • Assisting in event set up and break down

  • Utility tasks as needed in our base kitchen and off site

Compensation + Perks:

Pay starts at $17/hour plus a percentage of gratuities (if applicable to hours worked). A working interview will be required after an in-person interview. FRONT-OF-HOUSE POSITIONS

PART TIME EVENT SALES ASSOCIATE

We are seeking an individual to join our team as a part time sales associate with opportunity to grow into a full time position over time. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a history of sales with a catering or food service background preferred. They will be an open minded, team player with creative ideas to grown and fine tune Easy Entertaining as a community. They will be warm and welcoming to the diversity of team members that can be found at Easy Entertaining Inc. The ideal candidate will have some team leadership or management experience and be comfortable leading a team during an active event. Candidates should be able to stand for long periods of time and able to lift 50+ lbs comfortably for set up and breakdown as needed. Strong candidates will also have on-site experience ideally with catering and a history of successful troubleshooting. Candidates will be quick learners and willing to learn the CRM platform used by Easy Entertaining as well as our styles of service and offerings to enhance customer satisfaction. Please note candidates must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to apply.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • 1 year + sales experience (event/catering experience ideal)

  • Able to “open” and in some cases, close events that they have sold on nights and weekends as needed

    • We define “open” as through dinner service

  • Reliable transportation

  • Required office hours: Mondays 9am-2pm (minimum), Tuesdays 12pm-4pm, (weekly sales meeting), weekends as sold to open events

    • Other hourly work can happen remotely or around candidates other schedule

  • Tripleseat CRM experience a major plus

  • Serve Safe Certified or Food Handler Certification, TIPS certification preferred

  • Handling inquiries in Tripleseat as they come in on office days

  • Answering phones during office hours

  • Detailing of events internally

  • Suggesting sales to round clients experience

  • Site visits as needed

  • Recruiting clients

  • Rental coordination with vendors

  • Vendor coordination

  • Final calls and client communication

Compensation:

$23-$25/hour plus a percentage of gratuities (offered on a per client basis, generally an average of $30-$150 per event). Paid sick days, paid time off and flexible scheduling offered with all positions. Inquire about the full compensation package during your interview.

CATERING SERVICE WAITSTAFF

We are seeking experienced and novice service professionals to join our team for a busy season. We anticipate beginning in May. This is a great summer job, part time job or full time job. Opportunities range from 1-2 events per month, to part time, to full time depending on your needs and availability. Please note candidates must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to apply.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be comfortable lifting and bending.

  • Must be friendly, personable, and enjoyable to be around.

  • Willing to learn about service standards and our menu items.

  • Transportation to and from job sites is required, and we work throughout RI and SE MA.

  • TIPS certification is a plus and we are also looking for a handful of bartenders to join our team.

Compensation:

$15-$20/hour plus a percentage of gratuities (offered on a per client basis, generally an average of $30-$150 per event). Base wage may increase based on experience. Paid sick days, paid time off and medical benefits are offered with full time employment.
