BACK-OF-HOUSE POSITIONS

CATERING COOK

Part time to full time hours depending on catering volume.

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • ability to multi-take and work well independently

  • ability to adhere to a timeline, strong time management skills

  • maintain strong knowledge of allergens and cross contamination

  • hard working and resourceful

  • ability to follow recipes, guidelines, instructions and read a prep list with details descriptions

  • safe food handler certification or equivalent preferred

  • experience executing catered events on and off-site preferred

Compensation:

$15-$22/hour plus a percentage of gratuities. A bench test will be required after an in-person interview. Hourly wage determined based on past experience, bench test, and references.

COVID-19 considerations: We offer masks on on site rapid testing to all employees. Our team is currently fully vaccinated. We do not require you to be vaccinated to work with us but unvaccinated employees will be required to continue wearing masks during their shifts.

CATERING UTILITY & DELIVERY DRIVER

Part time employment. Applicants can expect 20+ hours per week during high season. 

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • strong time management skills with an emphasis on speed and efficiency

  • knowledge of kitchen standards for cleanliness

  • ability to intake order from purveyors, cross check invoices and store items as time allows

  • ability to assist with event set up and break down

  • wash dishes and return items to storage

  • some lifting and loading required (50 lb. maximum)

  • prior experience as a dishwasher in a catering or banquet environment preferred

  • must have valid US drivers license

  • safe food handler certification or equivalent preferred

Compensation:

$15-$20/hour plus a percentage of gratuities. Hourly wage determined based on past experience, first month's evaluation and references.

FRONT-OF-HOUSE POSITIONS

 

EVENT OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE

Part time employment. Applicants can expect 20+ hours per week during high season. At least one year of experience in hospitality and/or sales and event experience preferred. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • managing and executing both on and off-site events

  • overseeing service professionals at events

  • corresponding with clients both at events and beforehand

  • design and decor consultation 

  • rental order oversight and execution

  • setting up and breaking down event decor and transporting said decor

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette and e-mail etiquette

  • Highly detail-oriented

  • Ability to be on your feet for 8-12 hours

  • Must be able to lift 50 lb. maximum

  • Upbeat, positive attitude

  • Team player

  • Knowledge of local farms, food & seasons a plus

  • Weeknight and weekend availability

  • Reliable transportation. Event sites can be up to 1 hour outside of Providence

  • General food safety knowledge is appreciated and encouraged

  • Hospitality, sales and/or event experience 1+ years preferred

Compensation: $15-$22/hour + a percentage of gratuities. Hourly wage determined based on past experience and 30 day training period.

CATERING SERVICE WAITSTAFF

Opportunities range from 1-2 events per month, to part time, to full time depending on your needs. 

Job Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Reliable transportation to and from events (event sites can be up to 1 hour outside of Providence)

  • Friendly and courteous demeanor 

  • Ability to memorize menus before arriving at an event

  • Some lifting, loading, unloading, set-up, and break-down should be expected (40 lb. maximum)

  • ability to stand for long periods of time with comfort lifting and bending

Compensation:

$15-$20/hour plus a percentage of gratuities. Base wage may increase based on experience.
